extended resources

Before we are Lifemoms, we are people. We've each had different childhoods, and different life experiences. Some good times, and some bad. I wanted to offer a page with various resources that may be of interest to the many Lifemoms who frequent this site. Some of the issues mentioned below may not apply to you, some may. My desire is to have this site touch a Lifemom as a whole person, not just part of who she is. Any suggestions for a topic for this page is most welcomed!

Disclaimer: Although I've tried to put up the best sites possible, I haven't had the chance to completely go through each site. If you see something questionable, please do not hesitate to bring it to my attention. Also note, if you have a problem with the topics I've chosen to include here, that is a personal issue with yourself. Respect that not everyone handles issues/abuse/choices in the way you do, and respect that some may need help and/or support. Thanks!

about
Lifemothers: Celebrating the 'Mother' in Birthmother. Offering support, resources, and compassion to Birthmothers. Founded by Lifemother, Skye Hardwick, Lifemothers strives to be a safe haven for all Birthmothers; regardless of age, or contact with child. skye says
"As someone who has suffered with an eating disorder for ten years, I know how hard it is, and also how truly worth it, to reach out and take that first step toward help and healing. Sometimes in life we need to reach out beyond ourselves for help from others"

quote
"It is one of the most beautiful compensations of life, that no man can sincerely try to help another without helping himself."

~ Ralph Waldo Emerson
