Pink Baby

Author: Caitlin Hawkins

Your lips part at my rising. My heart gasps at you steadfast. I leave you pink cheeks and red eyes. I forget you in chiffon. As cotton candy or bubblegum, you stick to me like giggles. Pulling you from a sunsets last moments, I forget.... Letting you go, walking away; a forgiveness I will always seek. Ever more you are mine; Ever you are someone else's. As flesh tearing and splitting, I beat. I beat my heart senseless until you fade with the setting of the sun.
