All the Little Things

All the little things we take for granted like watching your baby sit up, crawl, and take his/her first step. Listening to her cry at night, rocking her gently to sleep as she coos in your ear. Its a softening sound that is calming like the ocean. Watching her grow day by day into an extrodenary person that you created and that your so proud of. Being happy, happier then you've ever felt, because of this life that has blossemed before your eyes. We natural parents will not get to be their when she crys at night, or when she's afraid, we wont get to softly comfort her the way only a mommy or daddy can. We won't wave to her on the first day of school, and we won't get to cry at her wedding. We natural parents have had this life gutted from us, we are eternally damaged for life. We will never move on and when we see a child playing at a park we will remember our child for we know she is gone. All we have is the memory to comfort us, and the the courage to fight another day. Our family has been shattered, our dreams crushed, and adoption is the cause of our pain and everyday another woman will sit and cry in silence as they take her newborn and she will go through the years wondering what has become of her. So, the next time you take anything with your child for granted remember the mothers and fathers without their children, remember the pain and suffering they are going through. And always love your child and hold on to her, don't let her go tell her you love her everyday and be happy you have her, she is your life and you are hers. Everynight before I sleep I pray for them, William and Christina my precious children you will not be forgotten and when the time comes my children we will meet again and I will never take you for granted.
