About Jenna

Jenna Swearingen will turn 23 at the end of this month. She was born and raised in Western Pennsylvania while she currently resides in Southeastern Ohio with her fiance Josh. She is a birthmother to Ariana, also fondly referred to by friends and family as Munchkin. Ariana was born on December 13, 2003 after a long and tumultuous pregnancy that involved two surgeries on Jenna's kidneys.

From the beginning, Jenna had a great relationship with Ariana's adoptive parents, forming a deep friendship with the both of them that has helped with the transition into placement. They talk regularly, exchange emails, letters, and packages, and are planning their first visit for Jenna's birthday in April. During that visit the group will have professional portraits taken which was the idea of Denise, the adoptive mother. Plans are all ready in the making for "what to wear" and "how to pose."

Jenna is currently quite busy planning a wedding for December 18, 2004. She's also busy with work, looking into volunteering with the Big Brothers and Big Sisters program, and researching her options in regards to finishing her education. While she was greatly interested in broadcast communications prior to the pregnancy, birth, and adoption, her many stays in the hospital may have changed her interests towards something in the healthcare field though no specific avenues have been decided to date.

This picture was taken in the hospital and currently the only photo of the two together. However, from the other picture, you can tell that she straightens her unruly curly hair on a daily basis to avoid pictures like the hospital one. Josh, the fiance, is the handsome fella in that picture.
