message to adoptive parents

Even though this site is called Lifemothers, and is geared towards birthmoms, I hope that many adoptive parents will not only enjoy their visit at Lifemothers, but will also be able to take something with them. The purpose I held for Lifemothers when creating it ..was the same as my writing. Although, the site is for birthmoms, I believe adoptive parents can learn about us birthmoms and our feelings, emotions and grief.

about
Celebrating Mothers. Offering support, resources, and compassion to Lifemothers. Founded by Lifemother, Skye Hardwick, Lifemothers strives to be a safe haven for all Lifemoms; regardless of age, or contact with child. Lifemothers: because a birthmother's role does not end at 'birth', but continues for life!

quote
"Don't refer to a woman as "our birthmom." This implies that she was hired to perform a service, such as "our housekeeper" or "my accountant." Instead, refer to her as "my child's birthmother." This describes the relationship she has with your son or daughter. Also, don't abbreviate the term birth mother as BM. This abbreviation refers to a bodily function." ~~ Cec

quote
"If a mother can love more than one child, why is it hard to believe that a child can love more than one mother?"
