Skye is a mom who resides in NE Ohio.
She's crazy about Old Navy, the color pink, and vanilla bean coolatas. Some of her favorite music includes: Tori Amos, Delirious?, Bethany Dillon, Sarah McLachlan, Lifehouse, Portishead ..etc. Favorite movies: Braveheart, The Breakfast Club, and Groundhog Day.
Currently, Skye is a child & infant photographer and runs a business and also a photography ministry for local single moms called Work of Heart Photography.
Skye's Adoption Work
Skye is the Lifemother behind Lifemothers. What began as an idea in the summer of 2001 became a reality December 2002, when Lifemothers.com first went live. At first, Skye wanted Lifemothers to just feature a her favorite adoption links, and her writings - but soon, Skye felt compelled to keep adding to Lifemothers in hopes to reach and inspire more birthmothers.
Skye was a contributing author for adopting.org for nearly three years, but now has no association with them. You can read all of her best articles here on Lifemothers.
Skye was also the birthmother columnist for Adoption Today Magazine for two years. Skye has run/founded/moderated six adoption-related forums/messageboards in the last four years. Her birthmom's only group 'Hannah's Choice' was a source of support to many birthmoms for nearly three years. Currently, she manages her online group on MSN called 'TDKOL'. This group is Christian-based, and it's main focus is bridging the gap between adoptive moms and birthmoms. {Currently not taking new members!}
